The Nominations and Awards Committee of the Infectious Diseases Society of Ohio celebrates excellence in the field of infectious diseases by recognizing individuals who have made outstanding contributions to patient care, education, research, and public health in Ohio. This committee oversees the nomination and selection process for IDSO leadership roles and awards, ensuring fairness, transparency, and recognition of deserving professionals.
Objectives

Leadership Development: Evaluate the qualifications of potential leaders within IDOhio and recommend candidates for officer positions to ensure the organization benefits from strong, capable, and visionary leadership.

Award Recognition: Identify and nominate deserving members for national awards from the Infectious Diseases Society of America (IDSA), highlighting the achievements of Ohio’s infectious disease professionals on a national stage.

Local Excellence: Develop a plan for IDOhio’s annual awards that will recognize exceptional contributions to leadership, education, clinical practice, and innovation within the state.

Fair and Transparent Processes: Maintain a rigorous, impartial, and transparent selection process for all nominations and awards to ensure integrity and inclusivity.
